Qigong, meaning energy work, is a Chinese term for a very ancient physical and spiritual practice which has existed in China for, at least, five thousand years. It involves movement, breathing and visualization to direct the Qi or energy within and around the body for the purpose of moving stuck energy causing pain and impaired health and also for energizing and detoxing the body.
Forms of Qigong are traditionally practiced by families for maintaining the family’s health and handed down from one generation to another for hundreds of years. These family traditions have been coming our for public use since the 1970’s.
In my clinic, several forms of Qigong self massage are taught as well as Essence Qigong and some simple movements to strengthen the digestion and the back.
